The First Radio Broadcast
[Bright and early, weeks after the earthquakes that had caused the shift in reality, the crackle of static on the radio waves was finally broken as the radio station fired back to life, the once-familiar tenor of the DJ chimed out over the airwaves of any radio that had been left still active in the hopes of receiving news after everything had gone down.]
Good Morning, No Man's Land! This is your favorite NML-Radio DJ, coming to you straight from Octovern. Radio communications have finally been restored, and we are ready to begin bringing you all of the up to date news you crave!
First up today, with the events of what is now being called the Battle of Octovern, the Earth Federation forces and the mayor of Octovern have begun the talks for an alliance between No Man's Land and Earth. Things are still in the beginning stages, and have been hampered by the continued process of shipping civillians and Plants back to their respective homes, but we will continue to update you as the situation progresses.
In other news, the Earth Federation has issued another $$60,000,000,000 bounty for Millions Knives and the notorious gunman Vash the Stampede, last seen fleeing from Octovern. Rumors claim the two to in fact be a new variety of Plant, capable of living outside of their containment bulbs, but the Earth Federation Ambassadors have denied these claims. If you see any sightings of either of these two men, it is advised that you contact the authorities immediately and do not approach them unless you are a trained bounty hunter or law enforcement agent.
Speaking of the Earth Federation, presentatives of the EFSF have begun distributing disaster relief supplies to those still left homeless by the recent conflict. For further information on being included in these distributions, you can head to one of the disaster relief stations being opened throughout the city. Furthermore, the first shipments of brand new Earth technology have begun arriving and will be begin being sold in all relief stations starting next week. Come down and see what's available before supplies run out!
And now for a little classical music to get the day started!
[An old Earth song faded into the airwaves as the DJ signed off.
From here on out, the people of No Man's Land would begin to find things like televisions, upgraded radios, telephones, and electronic devices capable of accessing the Earth network known as the "Internet" beginning to be sold on shelves throughout the city. Television channels at first will comprise mostly of broadcasts created by the Earth Federation, though there are rumblings of a group of locals planning to start their own broadcasting corporation.]
